hi mehdi! thanks for your reply.

ahh, ok. I was hoping it would work running joomla 1.5 in legacy mode...

so my best solution would be to upgrade to phpbb3, then use your new bridge instead, if I wanna continue running joomla 1.5, right?

thanks again

best regards

peter

even official phpbb website is dropping support for phpbb2,
so there's no point in supporting phpbb2 more.

right. But it's not as if my bridge is the only solution :D .
I do not wish to advertise alternatives, but choice is not lacking.

OK, Mehdi,

I have installed your Bridge in both PHPBB 3.04 and Joomla 1.5 followed all your instructions, yet when i goto view the forum, the forum displays fine (although its not adopting the color scheme of the joomla template its displaying the silver and blue bridge one) and also the joomla site does not display correctly. Here is a link to the site:

http://bob.ticktockwebs.co.uk

click on forum in the top bar, and you will see what i mean. At the moment its only a test site before i do it to a friends site. Any help is appreciated greatly

Thanks
Nick

@chapster5
the bridge has no impact on your main Joomla installation.
Only the bridged forum is "aware" of Joomla, not the reverse.

don't use the converter on the css of joomla theme,
only phpbb theme. If you have modified your joomla theme restore it.

Just use the default bridgesilver template provided, if you don't have an idea of what you are doing. No need to use the css converter with this one.
Moreover, the css converter is not mandatory, it's just supposed to make things easier in fixing template issues.

You shoudn't touch your Joomla theme.
Restore the original css of Joomla theme , to get the styles back.
The css converter I suggest , is for the Phpbb theme only.

Repeating myself: use original css for your joomla theme, or switch to an other Joomla theme.

I see that your joomla theme use this css:
http://bob.ticktockwebs.co.uk/templates ... mplate.css

And this one was converted by the "css integrator" thing, because the .mainCell class appear everywhere in your online css. Since you Joomla theme isn't inside an element having the mainCell class, no styles are applied.
