Having problems with visual intergration of phpbb and Joomla

Hey everyone I have a question. I am having serious problems with making my phpbb 3 header be the same header as my joomla site? I have tried many tutorials on line, but none seem to work. Can some one help me step by step. I've been working on this for about 6 hours a night for a week and cannot figure it out. Thanks again!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I can understand some php and some css, but i'm not fluent. Thanks again,I appreciate all the help I can get.

To restate the question I am wanting the similar setup as this page is. I want my Joomla! header and menu bar, with my phpbb3 underneath, so that it looks seamless to my viewers. Thanks again

What kind of joomla/phpbb integration do you use?
