Joomla and phpBB boards

I have changed from web server and just finished the re-installation of Joomla.

I have to transfer also my phpBB board and want to know if somebody knows a good way to melt the two together as good as possible.

Any suggestions welcome and highly appreciated.

I have used Mehdis bridge, but it doesnt "melt" the two together as it were. it still sues two user tables, but simply links the Joomla users to the PHPBB DB so that the same user names and passwords are required

It seems to be working very well, one drawback of it would be that installing and modifying MODs is a lot of hassle.  I had to first isntall all the MODs i wanted and then alter use the bridge and process my modifed files

However, now the newer version of PHPBB is out and I have not dared to update it.  Upgrade from Joomla 1.0.8 to 1.0.9 worked fine though :D
