Issues with several buttons not working

Im in need of help please.. I have recently transferred a website to Go Daddy and im experiencing problems with joomla.. a lot of the back end button don't work and my links either wont link or wont open in new windows.. in also unable to change any articles

can someone please help me out.

In the Global Configuration try turning Friendly URL's to No and the parameter Use Apache mod_rewrite to No.

Thanks for the reply I have turned off the search engine friendly urls where do I find the Use Apache nod_write to turn off?
