I was wanting to learn more about why the JotCache Extension was unpublished

http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... ache/13155

A UR-12 General Guideline Violation code was listed.

it then says: Unpublished Comments From Editors
All versions selected not attached to listing.

1. Can any one expand on what "Unpublished Comments From Editors" means? Do you have to be an editor to see the comments?

2. What does "All versions selected not attached to listing." mean?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, I am just trying to learn more about an extension I use on some of my sites.

Thanks! -- Steven

its more fo r the developer but normally something like that would indicate they were listing as 1.5/1.6/2.5 but the extension was only for 1.5

as you say you are not the developer, the listing support would not be available to you. contact the developer direct.

@mandville

Hi mandville, sorry to correct a JED team member on JED team codes, but in my understanding "All versions selected not attached to listing." means, that the developer failed to include a sample of his extension for every selected Joomla! version into the backend-upload of his listing (combi-archive, UNZIPFIRST, etcetc).

Best regards
Andreas Berger

Here is generally speaking about developer obligation to present all version of extension for JED to be published. I am publishing my extensions on JED already more as 5 years with very good reviews and all versions were correct marked (J1.5, J1.6, J1.7, J2.5) and all versions were supplied all together with upgrade announcement. But I recognized the my extension JotCache was unpublished in March 2012 and before as well as not after nobody was clarifying reason for unpublishing and to allow me to make corrections (if any) to proper publishing again. I put also JED ticket # 2813144483 with no response at all. Can you help in this case ?

All versions of an extension that are marked must be attached to the listing (the edit listing/submission page explains how to do that). Additionally, anything else that you distribute in the package (modules, plugins, etc - whatever is included in the primary download) must be included in the zip.

@vkanich - a side note - your ticket was responded to the same day you entered the ticket. When you didn't respond within 7 days, the ticket was closed.

At first thank you @mlipscomb for standpoint. All is about the communication. I got the first email notification about JED ticket # 2813144483 on 30May with status CLOSED after I read on ticket site on 29May that the ticket was responded. Immediatelly I made necessary changes on JotCache extension submission page and on 30May was this extension again published on JED. I took the ticket close status as the response to my submitted files with no necessary actions more.
