Hi all, This is just a thought but it might help thousands of users running Joomla! sites.

In light of the EU Privacy Law requiring EU based websites to give site visitors a choice of accepting cookie from their site or not and also needing to explain what cookies are being saved to the end-users computer and what they do, I thought that it might be helpful for extensions on the JED to have to list if the the extension creates cookies and include the name of the cookie and what it does.

I took on the task of auditing my site for cookies and came up with cookies that have names with digits and special characters with lengths of between 7 and 26 characters. Now I am stuck with the problem of trying to figure out which extensions are setting them and just what they are for.

It might take developers a few more minutes to add their extension to JED but save many users days or even weeks trying to make their sites EU compliant.
