Is the Video option working?

We tried uploading a video in field Media/Video, first as [[youtube]] link, then as [Vimeo] link, but none of them are being displayed on the extension detail page. When trying as embedded an error appears - 403 FORBIDDEN. Is there only a special format allowed? We saw another developer using a [Vimeo] video, which was displayed. Is there any trick for this?

What Media/Video field do yo refer to? Apologies if something like this was added to core and I missed it.

It's a new field when editing the listing.

Ok, and what is this I am looking at? It does not appear to be standard Joomla functionality, but you have not named, to any degree, what this is. This is the last time I'm going to ask.

Nathan this forum is on Extensions.Joomla.org - Feedback/Information so we are talking about new JED directory here youre in a total misunderstanding I think. We are not talking about joomla panel. Claudia is talking about submitting a new extension on new JED or editing an existing one.

Not necessarily submitting a new extension to JED, but editing the details of an existing one. We added some new tags yesterday and we tried to add a video to one of our extensions, it didn't work with direct link or with embedded link, hence the question.

No harm done, Nathan! I'm glad we got this misunderstanding out of the way.
So, can anybody provide us with an answer about the video option when editing the information of an extension in JED please?

Hi Claudia

The hover tip explains the format, you should use:

Code: Select all

{vimeo}1111111{/vimeo}

replace the 11111111 with your video's id (the last part of the video's URL)
