EMERGENCY: A WHOLE CATEGORY IS UNREACHABLE

The category "Contacts and Feedback" is unreachable and returns "The requested page cannot be found."
The cause seems to be a corrupted logo: "Unable to process PNG image: cache/fab_image/logo/556196b15c662.png" "If difficulties persist, please contact the System Administrator of this site and report the error below."

The search page results inaccessible also, when the corrupted image is present between the search results.

The problem seems solved now.
However, why on earth the error "Unable to process PNG image" should be a fatal error?
A such error shouldn't ever be shown to the user, since it is insignificant from the user point of view.
