User review just disappeared from 2 of my extensions

User review just disappeared from 2 of my extensions
I had a review on an extension, added a few days ago by a user.
Toady, a second user has posted a second review. Result:
THE FIRST REVIEW HAS BEEN DELETED AND DOESN'T SHOW ANY MORE.
This has just happened to 2 of my extensions. So I've just lost two 100% reviews.
The reviews are still visible on the profile of the user, but not on the extension pages anymore.
This is just unbelievable. Can I please get my reviews back?
Is this happening only to me or it's the whole directory?

sorry, problem not solved. I've got a review missing. 2 disappeared, than 1 reappeared, so I'm missing one.
I've contacted the user who confirmed that he had left a review.
In the doubt, let's suppose that I haven't slept enough. I will ask the user to add the review again and apologize for disturbing him.
But if it disappears a second time, we will have multiple witnesses for the strange things happening with the rating system.

Just a word to say that this wasn't a dream or a lack of sleep. A user has posted a review and decided to remove it in order to add a better one.
So he deleted his existing review and posted another one but it's not showing. So there is something odd going on here: it's not because a user posts a review that it will show straight away.
What's the explanation for this? Is it a cache system that needs to be refreshed, a JED member that is validating the review manually or something else?

I'm in a similar situation. Recently I published an extension on the JED and, to my absolute delight, somone reviewed it. As a result of that person's feedback—he'd discovered a defect—I updated my extension. Hi,
JED is a live site, so reviews can be added or removed. In a second steps, scores are recalculated accordingly.
There are several use cases that remove reviews. For instance, users can delete their accounts and users or reviews can be reported.

For whatever reason, the tab showing "Review (1)" appears (even though the review was removed/deleted by the author).
Is it possible for the author of an extension in the JED to delete their extension and start again (add the extension, with the same name, etc. and other details) and publish it again?

Hi,
If user interface is showing an inconsistent result, it could be caused by a bug or a data issue.
You can send a ticket to the team to review the case http://extensions.joomla.org/support/support-tickets
I wouldn't unpublish an extension to fix the user interface. It will generate a notice in the previous extension "Extension unpublished by author request..."

The JED is a wonderful thing. It allows people to showcase and advertise their technical skills. When it works, it works well. When it doesn't work—and sorry, that happens too often—it can be a nightmare. I agree with you that 99.9% of issues relating to the JED should be discussed using the ticket system; that's what I have always aimed to do.
But, unfortunately, the ticket system doesn't always work (for example I had an issue open, without response, for nearly two weeks (12 days actually)—http://extensions.joomla.org/profile/ti ... 1542—which I now discover has been resolved. And thank you very much to Jaz who fixed it, too
A while ago I had to also had to wait for a very long time and, as patient as I am, I wrote in this forum (see http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=262&t=924522) and, to my delight, "external intervention" saved the day.
So, with the greatest of respect and sincere admiration for the work that the JED team does, I will create a new job ticket as you suggested and hope that the matter of the "missing review" problem is resolved fairly soon. It's not a major issue, of couse, but it's a little embarrassing when people find our extensions and they see that there's a review and discover that apparently there is no review.

We are aware that the process is far from perfect and we have to improve it. Our challenge is to provide a service with a high quality and based on volunteering efforts.
In general, our collaboration is compared with a professional (paid) service and we have to be up to the challenge (though we can only devote a few hours per week).

I took your advice, submitted another ticket requesting help concerning this matter (http://extensions.joomla.org/profile/ti ... ails/11825) a couple of days ago. I still haven't received a response yet. Keeping my fingers crossed. I don't want to appear too pushy but it seems to me that the job ticketing system either (a) doesn't send out alerts to the JED team members or (b) the JED team members are overloaded with work.

I keep checking my submitted job ticket #11825 every day or two to see if there's been any reply/response, but there hasn't been. The only advice that I've had is here in this forum when (nine days ago) I read:

We have the tickets but we're still waiting for the show to commence

I, too, have exactly the same problem (which I reported to the JED in ticket #11825); I have not received a response to the ticket.
The list of problems continues:
- There were two tickets in the queue ahead of mine; that was the situation eleven days ago. My ticket #11825 remains unanswered.
- I'm unable to get another [really simple] extension approved on the JED—I even tested it against the JEDchecker before I submitted it.
- There have been no new new extensions added to the JED for nearly two weeks

Of course, there are issues that can be solved at the moment and other tickets that require more study. For instance, if a ticket is related with a bug system, then a JIRA ticket must be created (https://joomlaextensionsdirectory.atlassian.net) and a developer will check it.

Break out the champagne again. The review in one of my extensions has been re-linked in the database. Many thanks to Jaz who fixed this problem for me. It was a database problem.
