We published a series of new extensions (not even on the same day, but several days and even weeks apart) and suddenly we got the following info from Matthew Baylor:

Please note you may only have 3 extensions in the submission queue at one time. Anything over three will be purged. As one gets approved you can submit the next.


Is this a new rule? I could not find it anywhere.
And if it is, what kind of sense does it make (besides of discouraging extension builders to publish extensions?)
We had to wait more then 6 weeks till we got one approved, so in this pace we can publish maximal 1 extension every month and a half, and wait another 6 weeks for approval.
I can understand that SPAMMING the directory would be a problem that this rule might address, but i rather think you are shooting at flies with cannons here...

See rule D1.15 http://extensions.joomla.org/tos
The submission of a large number of listings at one time is not allowed without prior approval of the Joomla! Extensions Directory team. Approval is at the discretion of the Joomla! Extensions Directory team and and Open Source Matters.

Note: I'm not talking on your particular situation as I'm not aware of the details

Ok, i see the rule, there is no clear definition of a "large number".
We had 5 in the queue, and we got 2 deleted with that info. Five does not seem large to me (we did not even had them consecutively, they were scattered around as the weeks were going by)

having such unclear rules is hard to follow. If there is a fixed number that JED can put in the TOS for us to know would help.
