Edit: 'Improper fork' error - What did I do wrong?

Hi guys,


It's been a few days since we passed the 'up to' deadline for the approval of my extension and it still says 'There are a total of 37 extensions to go through before we review your extension for approval'.

Is this normal or should I contact anyone?

It was updated to ''There are a total of 6 extensions"...

I guess we are getting somewhere! =)

I received an 'Improper fork' error recommending me to read http://docs.joomla.org/Forked_Extensions

Problem is I actually did take the trouble to read it all and followed the rules to the best of my ability.

My extension clearly acknowledges and diverges from the original one (which is not even listed anymore due to issues I fixed on my code).

How do I know what I did wrong?

This is my first extension and there will obviously be obstacles to overcome, but I'm not feeling the love guys. Please help me out and make me feel welcome in the community. =)

No big deal: I have to provide acknowledgment on each and every file based on the original.

Finally had the opportunity to fix it up and upload the new version. Now I'm just waiting for (hopefully) approval.
