Review Solicitation Question

Thought this would be the best place to post this question. Let me start by saying that I understand and have read the rules about soliciting reviews in exchange for some product or service (ie a quid pro quo). I understand that I am not permitted to give something to someone in exchange for their review.

My question is: Does this apply to drawings as well?

I was solicited by a company to review products that I have purchased from them in exchange for being entered into a drawing with a chance to win something (it should be noted this company solicitation was not for a Joomla extension, but actual products shipped over the Internet).

What are the thoughts of the JED team on being entered into a drawing to solicit reviews (good or bad)? I'm leaning towards no based on what I know of the JED and how they view things, but thought I'd ask anyway "just in case".

That would be a no. "Leave us feedback and we'll potentially give you something in return we view the same as any other 'trade' for feedback. Inflating reviews in that manner isn't organic and devalues the review system if permitted.
