Support rating option in review in JED

Hi Folks,
Generally like other Extension we also follow paid subscription system for support.Even topmost component of joomla follow same thing.
does that really mean if someone who doesnt buy support has all right to give us 0 in support in JED review system?
i think lot of paid component & free componnet work like this model.
if yes why the support will affect overall rating of components?
also if user dont want to give rating on support as he dont have that subscription and just leave it does that mean it will show 0?

Hi Guanioramon,

If a rating is not moved, it will fail the validator and force the user to make a change to the rating, so it won't default at 0 and ruin your score.

And yes, the entire ratings of each section will affect your score.

Thanx a lot for your answer and get back to me.
Let me try to explain the problem further for your understanding.
for example lets take example of any joomla component.component is free but its support will have some charge as that require manpower and experts in coding.
Now a user who is free and understand the component well and didnt purchase the support, plan to give review on JED in which if he give 100 to support in component without purchasing the subscription or anything.
dont you think thats kind of fake review and JEd voliation?
also if he didnt purcahse the subscription and give our component 0 rating why this is consider in overall rating?
Dont expect to much dont expect to less

If you have a review like that, it can be reported and we will delete it.

Follow the JED Newsletter for a future announcement looking for user feedback on functionality changes to the new JED and you can make your suggestions on any changes. :-)
