Cant access JED.

Hi,

For almost a week now, I haven't been able to access extensions.joomla.org

Clearly the other subdomains on Joomla.org work (I'm here) but JED just keeps loading without any error or result. (connecting...)

I tried pinging it and it worked, but I guess it pinged the domain IP not the subdomain, or something.

Why does this happen and how can I fix it?

PS: Tried other browsers, the same thing happens.

The JED site is up and running. Which IP address do you get when you do a domain lookup?

Is your workstation behind a proxy service? Are you running firewall, security or anti malware applications?

I gathered it's up and running, but not for me.

Did a nslookup:72.29.124.140

Not behind a proxy and I have only the MS solutions : Security Essentials and Windows Firewall.

I cannot connect to that IP address either.

Try 72.29.124.148 and the server should respond with the default web site page.

Clear the DNS cache to see if that helps: ipconfig /flushdns

72.29.124.148 returns the default page. Tried clearing the DNS but it doesn't work. It successfully flushes the cache but it doesn't solve the problem. I'm at a loss.

Actually it worked. After flushing the DNS I had to clear out everything from Joomla.org and I'm back in business!

Cheers. A basic selection of networking commands is always useful.
