I have a site http://www.tat2design.com which uses joomla and zoom gallery and a user requested no right click protection of their images, I have not seen anything in joomla or zoom allowing me to do this, what are my options

Just add it to your header.

Honestly, I don't know the real purpose of this Right-Click-prevention. All it does is annoy users.
You can see the source code of the page at any time nevertheless, and all image locations are there for anyone to read.
Better would be a watermark feature tagging the images as yours!

The "protection" is also stops you for using mouse gestures, with can be even more annoying, and if the client browser switches javascript off they can right click to their heart's content. Tell your client it's an ineffective gimmick & talk him out of it.

Actually although I posted the code for no-right click, the above posts on the situation are accurate. If someone wants your images, no javascript like this is going to keep them from getting them. I wouldn't personally use the script on a site simply due to it being less than effective. But you can toy around with it.

If you want something secure, put it inside a HTTPS enclosure.

There isn't much use for these no-right-click scripts. All they do is annoy users and slow down your load time.

The following thread contains a similar discussion of methods for protecting images from download: http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,26908.0.html

It seems like a difficult problem.  Remember, the internet was designed to make sharing files easier, not for teasing others with files!

Hi,

The solution is easy and there is no real need for several lines of coding. Just use this in the body-tag of the page you want to "secure".

Code:
oncontextmenu="return false"

Remember that this works only in IE. If you use firefox, all disable scripts fail.

I am using one that blocks right click just fine in FF. Let me know if you'd like to have it.
