HP register_globals setting

Post by calinrap » Wed Feb 06, 2008 5:35 pm

Following PHP Server Settings are not optimal for Security and it is recommended to change them:

    * PHP register_globals setting is `ON` instead of `OFF`

Please check the Official Joomla! Server Security post for more information.

The way to turn register_globals off is dependent on your hosting environment. Ask your hoster's support.
If you want to figure that out by yourself anyway, look into the PHP manual or use the search engine of your choice with the keywords "php.ini" or ".htaccess".

Niels
