I have a Joomla 1.015 site that has an SSL certificate which is used on two pages. In the link to the pages, I direct it to the https (just using the link url) and after a submit button is pressed on the ssl'ed page, the user is redirected to the non-https page (again, through the link url). The problem is that if a user navigates away from the https page without hitting submit, the entire site stays in https rather then http. I am assuming that there is some kind of .htaccess rewrite to check for this and get out of https mode?

Actually, I did search but all I could really find was pointers on how to redirect the whole site to https or how to have just a folder be https - I admit to being a total noob on htacess and perhaps I missed something that was pertinent to my issue of having 2 single static pages that need to be https and the site http otherwise. That's why I was asking for help. If you are aware of a post that covers this, I would appreciate a pointer to it. I will search again also - and update my post if I solve the issue.
