You could use JFusion, but you need to update your Joomla install from 1.0.x to 1.5.11 to use JFusion!

Is there a way you can integrate one joomla website with another joomla website? i have 2 joomla websites (separate) that i want to put together and use the same user login information for both....

Alternative would be to create a Joomla authentication plugin to allow joomla to use pull username/password details from an external app:
