joomla 1.0.15 - administrator restricted access
i am using joomla 1.0.15 for 2 sites. (the truth is that i am not using them really often).
I realized that I get "restricted access" at administrator back end whenever I want to see
- articles
- menu
- category
- sections
I cannot do anything (create new article/menu or update the existings)
I have to notice that I am a Super Administrator so I don't know why this is happening.
Can you please help me?

Not really help as we don't know yet what is causing the problem, some investigation is required. What version of PHP are you running? Have you checked the error logs? What had you or the host done prior to the problem occurring

Re: joomla 1.0.15 - administrator restricted access
-PHP 5.2.4-2ubuntu5.14
At the same machine are running other sites of Joomla 1.5.9 and I don't have the same problem.
Maybe in the meantime I had done an upgrade of phpmyadmin, but I don't really remember it.
(phpMyAdmin 2.11.3deb1ubuntu1.3)

PHP 5.2.4 shouldn't be a problem.
When you make a change to the hosting, no matter how small you need to check the sites. Otherwise backtracking over what you did or didn't do can be a problem.
Error logs?

Re: joomla 1.0.15 - administrator restricted access
No, no error logs.
I read somewhere that "restricted access" can be solved by the update of joomla to joomla 1.5.*
But I do not want to update them, because I will face other problems since they are in two languages. Updating is a real trouble for me, because I use many modules.
What do you suggest?

Re: joomla 1.0.15 - administrator restricted access
Are you saying there aren't any error logs or you have looked at any?
Joomla 1.5 is not an upgrade but a migration. The upgrade to Joomla 1.5 has nothing to do with your problem and cannot resolve it. You can create a new site in Joomla 1.5 and it clearly will not have the problem as it is a new site entirely. You could also create a new joomla 1.0.15 site that would also not have the same problem, the issue is diagnosing your problem on your site.
I suggest you look at the error log provided by your host, then have a think about what changes have been made, and see if you have any backups that you can think about restoring/testing. You could also check the site for hacks just to be sure.
You could manually reapply all the files from a full joomla 1.0.15 installation and see if the problem goes away... You would then have a vanilla joomla 1.0.15 installation minus any hacks you have subsequently made.

Re: joomla 1.0.15 - administrator restricted access
Download full site and run a good scanner, Avast or similar, perhaps even more than two-three a/v trojan discovering utilities. I use Avast, Malwarebytes and Clamwin. You cannot expect them individually to find all script injections but they may do a thorough scan when used altogether (one at a time).
I run avast/malwarebytes all the time when visiting potentially dodgy sites.
