Hi all,
I see that some folks said that DocMan, Remository, etc don't work if we don't set the folder 777. Well, It's true. And in normal days we can set it that way.

But, in times of hacking rampage, I say that we don't need to set the folders 777 (which is VERY BAD for security). We can set it just fine with 755. So, how then DocMan and Remository will work?

Well this is my tip:
  • Upload any files you want using FTP
  • Once uploaded, define the files from DocMan or Remository menu. It's called handle unlinked files or something like that

This same hardening methods work for other components too that usually need 777.
Keep safe.
