Phishing in joomla

Post by lea_cardenas » Mon Sep 21, 2015 9:56 pm

Hello,

recently I have been getting some emails of warning that my site look like a possible phishing attack. I dont use any component or module that ask for those types of information.

Is there a way I can check my website (that works with joomla) so I can detect if the phishing is real or the warnings are just an error.

What is the way I can detect or test if my website is being victim of phishing?

Best regards.

Compare your files with the original files:
create a backup of your current Joomla 1.0 website,
extract the files from your backup to a folder called joomla-site
download the original package of the same Joomla 1.0 version and unzip the files in a folder called joomla-org

Use software to directory compare all files & folders from joomla-site & joomla-org.
You can use Meld (on Linux & OSX) or WinMerg (on Windows) to compare the sites.
Analyze the new files & the ones that have been modified.
