this is a 2 year old thread, you should post a new thread in the security forum AFTER reading the stickies about how to post useful information about your installation and security measures you should take.

Ha, this should be marked a "historic" thread. It shows how much Joomla has progressed since 2005.

Extcal, a widely used calendar extension package based on a standalone sourceforge project had become abandonware. It was not only buggy but wide open to exploitation. Elpie, then running a site called MamboGuru, helped discover and spread the solution.

Extcal now lives in a vsatly extended and improved form as JCalPro, which is commercial GPL.

Elpie became a leader in the Mambo project and head of the Mambo Foundation.
