Insert Read more into article..

Hello,

I have a problem when I'm inserting "read more" link into articles in my joomla site.If I select the row in text and I insert the read more break, it appear like a gray bar. When I run the site nothing is changing even if I set the read more and introtext on at the article parametters.

What should I do?
