Hello,

I am currently customizing Joomla to build an intranet for my organisation.  After installing it on the server, i am getting problems to access it from user PCs. Locally, i.e on the server, it works fine, bt remotely only the home page opens, neither the links are functional nor the images appear.

Infact, the server is already on a domain and has an IP address.  Our IP addredd is 192.168.2.100, so i use http://192.168.2.100/joomla to access joomla.Even when using that addrress on a user PC, the issue is the same.

I can access joomla from the server via my pc because joomla is installed on my pc also.  The moment i uninstall it, i am being faced with the same problem!

Please try to suggest me a solution for this problem as being completely new to this product, i am being delayed in my work.

With Thanks,
Krishta

You need to set-up Joomla with a domain name or IP address the other PCs on the network can access.
Note: the other PCs on the network cannot access the server localhost.

What you (they) are seeing is only the PHP page without the template or CSS.
This happens with this domain issue.

Does the Joomla configuration file use that IP address as the live_site setting?
Other users must access the site via the domain name or IP address in the Joomla configuration file.

You may have a server configuration issue.
Try to access the site with the full URL.
http://192.168.2.100/joomla/index.php

You could have an issue with the links in your template index.php file.
Sometimes people have hard-coded links to the wrong link.
Are you using the default template?

Good Afternoon!
I am running Joomla on a Windows XP using Wamp...
And I have the same purpose as the 1st post guy...
Where do I change the IP for access?
I have already configured the page on the soon-to-be server machine.
The project is under:
C:/wamp/joomla
and the machine's IP is 10.10.2.211
Can anyone help me?
I'm a starter, so I may need very detailed explanations.
Thanks
