Localizing Administrator Help System

Post by Jettero » Wed Apr 09, 2008 5:50 pm

Hi all,

We've started using Joomla in many of the new sites we're developing and love it. The help system in the admin side is great and very useful.

However, we are getting feedback from clients that complain that the administrator help is either too slow or sometimes unavailable. I'm assuming this is due to traffic on the help.joomla.org servers. So my question is:

Is there any way to copy or mirror the 1.5 help system locally so all of the help files are serverd from our servers? I know we can change the root URL to point to us, but how do we get the actual documentation to put on our servers? Is this possible and legal?

Thanks,
Jett

That's a bunch for the reply! However, I couldn't find a download for the 1.5 help files, only 1.0xx. Are they available somewhere else or did I miss them?

Thanks,
Jett

You didn't miss them. The package isn't ready yet.
