Offline download of dev documentation
I can't find a link to download the API documentation for offline use, either on api.joomla.org or on docs.joomla.org. I read in another forum topic that it used to be available (as of 1.5, in 2009). Is it still available? If not, can I suggest to restore it? It can be very useful for work from home, where broadband is not available. Thank you!

same problem here, I also could not get download link for offline docs.Chris Davenport wrote:Should be possible. Thanks for the heads up. I'll look into it.
Chris.
But one interesting thing I noticed:
when I go to http://api.joomla.org/ I only see these options under Packages (on Left):
Unknown
Joomla-Platform
PHPMailer
SimplePie
utf8
but when I came through a google search to this url:
http://api.joomla.org/Joomla-Framework/ ... ation.html
I see there are different options under 'Packages' drop down Select List:
Unknown
Archive_Tar
geshi
Joomla
Joomla-Framework
---
---
etc.
but I noticed the home url for both is same: http://api.joomla.org/ and both page have different look and feel also.

Re: Offline download of dev documentation
This is probably because the new Joomla Platform material was added to the site recently.
You can now download the Platform documentation from http://api.joomla.org/11.2.tar.bz2 for offline use.
Regards,
Chris.

Re: Offline download of dev documentation
May I ask, why the link to the current downloadable Documentation is not provided as a usual practice on the online documentation page?
Thanks,
