I am always having problems in Administration using Firefox (eg. changeing font colour) as it opens the colour picker in a popup, which is blank in everything but Internet Explorer.

Unfortunately we are a Linux household and don't own (or want) a copy of Windows and IE.
I have tried Joomla Admin in Firefox, Opera, Konqueror and Epiphany

Will Firefox 1.5 have better support for none Microsoft users? From what I've seen in the forums, the majority of people are using Linux, so it may be worth focusing on other browsers before looking and the aging IE.

I run a Linux desktop and Firefox works perfectly in the back end of 1.0.12 with the JC Editor. For info you shouldn't really use the font colour picker anyway as it implements using  the deprecated font tag.

What other Firefox issues are you having?

Mmmm....... Strange.

It can't be a PC prob as it doesn't work at home - OpenSUSE 10.2, Firefox 2.0.0.3. And it doesn't work at work - Win 2000SP4 Firefox 2.0.0.3.

Weird.........

Yes, but the problem isn't at the Joomla! end I don't think.

So it's either Firefox or JCE, yeah?

Unfortunately I cannot disable the firewall at work to try it as it would open up 8000 PC's and servers, but I shall give it a try at home tonight.

Thanks for the advice guys.

If you have any of the Adblock plugins for Firefox, make sure to whitelist your site. I ran into that problem, particularly with JCE where some of the names of buttons and popups were triggering my combination of Adblock + Filterset.G updater.
