php script to joomla

Hello everyone,
I am new here, and new with joomla.
I have created php/MySql script for managing videos. How can I make it be a joomla extension ?
The problem is merging it with joomla user system. I need regular users to be able to comment on videos, and administrators to be able to access administration menu.
The website is already running and its joomla 1.5.
