First time user, please advice if I am in the wrong forum. Thanks.

I want to dynamically change the left navigation menu based on the section of the site visited. For example, I have a header navigation with 7 menu items. Under these items there are sub-navigation menus. If I mouse over Services a sub-navigation will display. I then select an item from the sub-navigation "Trash", I want the Trash page to load but then display a left navigation of all Services sub-navigation menu items. I'm using Joomla 1.5 with ja_purity template.

Yes, you are in the wrong forum. You should post in "Administration".
But to reply, You should create a menu "Services Menu" with all services sub-navigation items.
Then you create a new module "menu", in parameters, you select the menu "Services Menu" and you select only the Trash page in "Menu Assignment".
I think it would work.
