Planning for the 2010 Joomla!Day calendar
Hi everyone,
I created this thread in an effort to get us started brainstorming the 2010 Joomla!Day calendar. Your posts here will help us get a better understanding of what the 2010 calendar will look like, thereby providing OSM an expectation of what to expect to see in next year's calendar for budgeting purposes.
An important note: this thread should not be used as your official submission for a 2010 Joomla!Day event. Instead, please post your official requests using our request form.
In an effort to make this thread easy to review, please post in the following format for easy review of the Joomla!Day you're interested in hosting:
Joomla!Day Name:
City Location:
Approximate Date:
Looking forward to everyone's wonderful ideas!
Best,
Ryan

Re: Planning for the 2010 Joomla!Day calendar
Joomla User Group New England will be hosting two events this year.
JoomSki Weekend: March 6-7, 2010
Join us in Brattleboro, VT for a day of Joomla hands-on training (March 6) and a day of skiing at one of our nearby slopes (March 7).
Joomla!Day New England
We have not firmed up a date for this yet but hope to do so in the coming week or two. In all likelihood, we'll be holding the event in May or June.
Thanks,
Jen

Anyone interested in planning a Washington DC event?
I'd be interested in helping to set up a Washington DC happy hour somewhere. If anyone is interested, PM me.

Re: Anyone interested in planning a Washington DC event?
Hi jA,
This sounds like a great idea, especially in DC! We have a northern Virginia/DC user group that you should consider bringing this up to here: http://www.novajoomla.com/. There's a good number of Joomla users in DC! However, let's take this discussion to another thread so we can remain focused on Joomla!Days for 2010.
Best,
Ryan

Re: Planning for the 2010 Joomla!Day calendar - Bordeaux
Hello Ryan,
This is just to let you know before we fill the form (should be done soon) that our French Joomladay will be held in Bordeaux on March 21st next year instead of Paris.

Melbourne joomla day looks great. Closer to me too. Unfortunately we don't have much action in asia. Wish there were more asian joomla users who could come together.
