Toronto Joomla Day
For all you canucks out there,
We're organising a Joomla conference in Toronto this April - looks like a lot of the feedback from my original announcement stuck to this thread so let's continue discussing it here!
What do people think about having it in downtown Toronto the weekend of April 28th/29th, 2007?

Re: Canadian Joomla Users....
Let me know when you come to Toronto... will try and be there! Would also be nice to organize something for Linuxworld Toronto as well... we had a booth last year, but it would be great if we could organize a gathering of some sort...

So, any other members from the GVA interested in a meet-up? Maybe we can organize something for the Spring (when there's less chance of freaky weather)?

I'm in TO. Any news on when the Joomla!fest will be happening?
If it's a time I can make it I'd love to come. It would be nice to meet other Joomheads and network a bit.

Re: Canadian Joomla Users....
Lévis Bisson and I are expecting to be in Toronto April 30-May 2. I'll have confirmation of this I expect within a couple of weeks with the details.
If this is the case, it would be a great time to organize a Joomla! gathering in the evening of one of those nights.
Anyone interested, let me know here in this thread.

Question. What about combining the Joomla!Day with the "it 360" conference? Just an idea that crossed my mind

Re: Canadian Joomla Users....
I'm wondering if anyone knows what type of gathering this will be?
How many people? Small and informal or larger and more structured?
Will it be promoted?
Where to have it? (other than the already discussed GTA)
