I will be contacting everyone, who has indicated (via this thread) that they will be attending, via PM to obtain your real names and contact phone number (preferably a mobile number). In the PM I will also be providing Brad's mobile number in the event you become lost or need to contact us urgently on the day.

Why are we asking for this information you may ask? It is simply so we able to contact you in event of an emergency or if anything changes at the last minute (No we aren't anticipating any changes but it is better to be prepared).

This information will only be used for the Melbourne Joomla! Day and for no other purpose.

Please ensure you put your name down on this thread if you intend to attend.

In conjunction to highly successful worldwide events, Joomla!Day Melbourne will be held on 24th January at the L&B Café from 2.30 – 5pm. This is an informal event with a condensed agenda and the first ever Joomla!Day held in Australia. We’re sure it won’t be the last.

Speakers at the event include Russ Winter (Quality and Testing Work Group), Brad Baker (Sites and Infrastructure Coordinator) and other selected guests. Shayne Bartlett (Joomla! Core team) will also join us via Skype. The event is organized to allow for in-depth discussions in a group of distinguished Joomla! minds. As I have a new account, I've just discovered that accounts aren't allowed to send PM's if they haven't posted 5 messages or more.  I understand it was to stop spammers, but it's not a very clear policy (I had to search the forums to find this!).  Anyway, this might help others, and Wizzie you might want to post your email address (?) if people in this situation want to reply to you privately?

I know the Horse Bazaar can cater to 100 or so people.. Never been to L&B's so we may have gone past critical mass for it (considering the original booking was looking at about 7 people)

I have only just read about this event in the news page. I would love to attend. I am an artist developing a Joomla site for Artist-Run-Initiatives. I am loving getting to Learn Joomla though!
