Wow -  I would just like to thank everyone who made this day such a success, especially our three speakers and orgdiva. I thought it was fantastic and it was great to meet so many Joomla!bods. I have come away much richer. :]

Presently I will post all the things I promised on this thread - abstracts, CD, pix. Also the Q&A which I tried to write down.

Also I will make a space for local(ish) Aussies to converse/commune - it seems that many people are keen to find/share knowledge and skills.

Keep an eye on JoomlaDay.org.au and see this thread [http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,141803.0.html] for the date of the next Sydney User Group Meeting. If you have a Joomla! topic you'd like to present at a user group meeting, please let me know.

Good one. Thanks peeps.
D

I enjoyed listening to Robyn and Andrew. Shame that I had to look at 'that guy' on video all the time :P I wonder who he was?

Great work everyone, especially the organizers, and also all who attended.

Thanks to the organisers and presenters for an informative afternoon.

As a Joomla noob I was very interested to hear about what to expect in 1.5, the issues it addresses and the direction the development team are heading in. According to Andrew's presentation 1.5 seems to be addressing a lot of usability, seo (sef) issues and will be introducing some  powerful template control including improved separation of the model layer from the view layer.

Hey I even got my pic into the gallery (slide 12 for those who can't resist). :p
