Hi Guys I've moved my site from a sub directory to root to replace the static html pages I had there. I want to place a load of 301 redirects in .htaccess but when I do I get a 500 internal error and the site is not visible. Does anyone know how I can overcome this problem as I want to inform search engines of the redirects but cant because of this issue.

Cheers Kili

Hi Kili, great that you solved your problem...amazing how such a small thing can "make or break" a website so to speak. :)

Would you mind going back to the original post and changing the topic to include either [RESOLVED] or [SOLVED] at the beginning of the title and changing the Message Icon to Solved. This assists other user trying to find confirmed resolutions.
