I have installed Joomla! 1.0.10 for the first time and I keep getting this message whenever I try to upload a new template.

Unable to create directory '/web/guide/pjparker/public_html/joomla/media/install_45794e2bdcd02/templates/'Unable to create path for /web/guide/pjparker/public_html/joomla/media/install_45794e2bdcd02/templates/

The file I am trying to upload is a folder titled templates which has within it two more folders and an index.html file. Any help or guidence will be very much appreciated.

Sorry, I should have said. I am trying to upload a file compressed as a .tgz. It seems to be the only compression that uploaded. Before this I tried zipping the files but it was not recognised.

It's one I created myself. It is a very basic page which I was using to learning Joomla. Eventually, when I have got to grips with Joomla, I shall be uploading the pages which can be seen at "www.pparker.net/bandh"
