![]() Hi All, I just installed 1.0.3 stable [Sunlight] and it appears that there is a bug with the "Who's Online" module that came up with the 1.0.3 install. I have also upgraded another 1.0.2 Joomla! site to 1.0.3 with the update patch, and it also has the same bug, when before the update it didn't have this problem. Here's the problem: You could modify the Who's Online with the following options (see screen2.jpg attachment)
Now, if you have the Both selected in version 1.0.3 (new install and upgrade patch), it will only show # of Guests on the site, and if no guests, it shows no users online - even if you are logged into the site. Now, is this a security change over? or a valid bug? I cant see how something that worked in previous versions of Joomla! would not work in the latest release. (see screen1.jpg attachment) I have even tried uploading the mod_whosonline.php file from a v1.0.2 install (and the XML) to no avail - what happened? ![]() I even tested it on the Demo Joomla! Site on your servers and it does the same thing showing only guests logged in. Thanks in advance |

Whoops! Sorry about the cross post, I found the solution here: http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,12381.0.html Checkmate wrote: A solution has been posted in the tracker:
Quote: i have found the cause in database.php (from 1.0.3) at the line 560 Code: //$val = "''"; when i remove the slashes "who is online" againe works fine. database.php can be found in the includes directory. |
