Hi all..

just wondering what component/modules combinations are used for THIS forum (forum.joomla.org) ?

First it is necessary to install The Primary School component with the ABC module active.  Depending on circumstances it may also be necessary to install the Optical component, however this one is not normally needed.  Once there has been sufficient time to study, it will be possible to read this at the bottom of every page in the forum: Powered by SMF 1.1 RC1.  Naturally, there is the possibility that one might have to major in Joomla before understanding this is an acronymn for Simple Machine Forum.

Define by hand.

The Simple Machines Forum is available as a separate standalone application.  To use it with Joomla it will be necessary to install the SMF Bridge.  For more info check out this forum.
