:'(Hi Can someone help?

When I insert a pound sign I get this strange symbol before it        £20
It only shows up when I preview the page...the $ sign is ok???

Any advice appreciated

sure. it has to do with iso8859.
in engish that would mean some people got around and call themselves international standards organisation and decided we should write in codes, rather than ct and paste like what you did. they consider it a sin to just plainly paste your sign onto your articles. so they invented some codes that we supposed to remember or lookup, whenever we want to write £s and ® and © and such.

there are may sources on the internet. what i do is a keep a text file of these codes around in my pc handy.
