I'm sure you can figure this out: Adding Modules to Components.

Hey Guys,

As I always I'd like to thank you in advanced so, Thank you for taking a look at this and helping me out.

I need to add a module to the "left position" of a component link. I have no clue how to do this and wanted to know if it was possible without having to make a link.

For example I have a [Search Filed] [search button] on the top of the site. When they click the button it takes them to the search engine page, but the left side is empty and I wanted to add a module that contains an image in it. What can I do to make this happen?

I tried setting the module to unassigned but no cigar.  ???

Module positions are defined here in your admin backend: Site>template manager>module position

You need to add a position for that module into your template's .css file This is a long process though get some custome made templates available with your required position predefined - an easier way to do it.
