I have a welcome page that is published to my frontpage. I set the Page Title setting to "Hide" in the content editor; however, the page title, "Welcome", is still shown when I view the main page. Is this a bug with Joomla 1.0.X? How can I fix this? Ordinarily, this wouldn't be a major issue, but I have a graphic that is centered at the top of the welcome text and the "Welcome" on top of the content just looks redundant. Thank you, Joshua Foulk |

Go to the main menu and check the home menu item the one linked to component front page. You also have to make sure that the page title is shut off there as well. I hope this helps. |

And, depending on the type of link you have chosen, sometimes "item title" must be hidden. |

wow, there are several threads on this one topic! i just wanted to post and say that 'hide item titles' was what did it for me. I tried the other options - hide page titles from the front page component in the menu manager, hide page titles from the content item - and couldn't figure it out until I tried 'hide item titles.' |
