Cannot Change Embedded Email addresses

Hi everyone.

I am using Joomla 1.0.12.

I have a small business and my problem is I need to change some email address of some of the people and externally the displayed addresses will not change. I have gone into the 'Content Items Manager', then to 'Contacts' and changed the addresses, then saved and published. Yet externally the new addresses are still the old ones. I do have the email address linked to other pages on the site, so I am unsure if I am changing the addresses in the right place.

One other thing I notice is in the 'Content Items Manager' under the published column, my contacts show 'Published, but has expired'. Not sure why for that as well.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
