Hey guys,

I have used exactly the same joomla release on three different websites, all on the same server but I set up different accounts. But on one site, the menu links are absolute (whereas on the other two they are relative). Any ideas as to why this may have happened? I only ask because I use secure SSL on all three sites but the one in question breaks out of secure https with an absolute URL.

Joomla 1.08 STable [Sunshade]

Thanks for any insight,

James

I wasn't sure what to search for to solve this problem but two hours later of messing about with code, the answer was in the forum:

http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,41377.0.html

It basically involves replacing includes/sef.php with the 1.07 version.

This also solves any other problems with menu items when you create a URL link to involve e.g. an external URL or a bit of javascript so that the item does not have the livesite URL prepended to it.
