Shadu,

In basic it is a simple question, but if we want to guide you from 0 to 100% then it can be a lot of work. I advise you to take a look at the Joomla! 1.0 documentation (1.5 will be different on a lot of areas, keep this in mind). If you want to start working on a template, recently a good template document has been released (have the url not at hand currently). For the rest, just start with Joomla! It is pretty easy to set up a basic site, lot of extensions are on the extensions site.

Thnx for the info guys. Like i said i don't have the traits for design. i can do the articles, the polls and all the inside stuff. but I've got no artistic tendencies whatsoever so i have no idea what would be a good look for the template and stuff. basically what I'm looking for is help in what software works to develop cool templates. i think i can get some help for th banners and stuff but i would like as much help as you can get me for programs and extensions that can help me build this page.

Hello Shadu,
I think you might like to post a request for service in this forum area http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/board,177.0.html.
I'm sure you'll find someone who you could hire for your project development and design. There are so many component options and system features that , with some hired help you could save a lot of time.

Yup
"free" is a relative concept.
"free software" can be expensive if it takes a month of labour to build and midifie untill it does exactly what you want.
I've been a site builder for over 10 years and it takes me about 2 weeks to build a solid Joomla! site.
Not that you can't do it yourself, but then again, did you build the hotel?

not really, i see where you are getting to.

i take absolutely no blame on the mess they did with the english version of the web page for the hotel. its my job to try and fix it but some of the murders they did have me wanting to eather laugh or cry.

when I'm done i have to try and make it more modern and all that so i might can do the articles and stuff like i said, but i now next to nothing when it comes to what makes a good design. i can do some css with dreamweaver but that's about it.
