hide main menu on certain pages?

Hello
I would like to hide the left main menu on certain pages ( eg on a forum page because the forum does not get enough size to be displayed). Is this possible?

Very possible. You can select the pages that Modules will appear on, simply by highlighting the pages you wish them to appear on in the Pages/Items section of the Module editor.
Control Panel -> Modules -> Site Modules -> Module Name -> Pages / Items

okay, that's simple
what I did: copied the template, removed the left menu there and assigned this new template to the forum page
