User Menu

After succesful login to site, the core joomla "user menu" does not show? Any idea on how to fix this? All user menu items show as published through back end.

Have you enabled the user menu module as well?

Yes, it is enabled.....

Now here is a twist..

Login the front end ok, says "member online"

No user menu displayed.....

Log out and login back in through front end and the user menu is now there and have all "registered user" acces

log out, come back later & re login the the user menus are gone again ......?

sporadic displaying of user menu, any idea?

UPDATE-

It appears that when user menu does not show up after user login, if I goto backend & login, then manually logout myself, then sign back into backend and do a "global Checkin" (even though no items are being checked in) when I return to the front end and login, everything appears normal, user menus are now displayed. But after a short period of time, same situation returns ith no user menu?

I am expereinceng a similar problem with the added problem of "you are not authorized to use this page". i've double checked authoriztaions on both the user back end as well as the site content back end.

I am experiencing almost the same issue in that the user menu does not show up, did you or anyone else find a solution for this problem?

Are you using Community Builder? I had the same issue and just had to completely reinstall, but the issue went away.

did anyone find a solution other than a reinstall? i am running on a linux server with joomla version 1.6.3.
i have tried turning off cache for the user menu but still no joy.

I think i have a solution at least it worked for me. After creating the User Menu itself it did not show up when i logged in as a user. But then after i assigned a button to the menu it appeared. You can assign user profile button i called it (your profile)
