Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

I'm not sure exactly what is going on but when I sign on my site, it shows me as an administrator but when I try and sign onto the admin module, it says incorrect username, password or not proper access allowed....

any ideas as to what is going on....I checked the database file but nothing seems to be working...

I'm not sure what the cause is, but I once had a similar problem and used the information in the following thread: http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic ... l#msg63069

It provides a MySQL script you can run to create a new administrator account with known username and password.
