Sub Category help

Hey Guys,

Quick and probably easy question for you guys.

If I wanted to create a Subcategory inside of a category how is this possible? maybe I'm just not thinking logically -- and I've been away from Joomla for the past month and a half -- and It's easier than it sounds... but who knows?

Basically I want to create a Section called Articles and a Category inside of Articles would be "Automobiles"... what If I want I wanted to create Subcategories such as Acura, Honda, etc?

Simple answer: you can't!  Not in the current release anyway.

You can fudge it though: either by creating a nested menu structure to make it look like your content is organised that way, or by using a component like VirtueMart which can have the e-commerce turned off to act as a simple catalog - with as many nested categories as you like.  You would have to enter your content in the component rather than in Joomla's standard sections/categories though.

You might mean Categories under the Section:

Category>Articles>Manage Categories

Then add Automobiles
