Just set up a new Joomla site on web - question regarding the email feature in 'contact us' - not sure where to specify the email address that emails will go to - also, does anything special have to be done to activate the feature or will email work straight away without any fiddling around on my part or the hosting company's part?

normally works fine without ammending anything

the contact us component on a default install, will use the default contact info

components > contacts > manage contacts

you can set up different categories and add lots of contacts if you like

when clicking on the contact link, you will then see lists of contacts / categories of contacts

one point to note is that apart from the parameters that can be set on a per contact basis, there are also parameters in the menu item

menu > main menu > Contact Us - parameters
