i cant upload images in jomsocial photogallery

Hello Everyone,
I cant upload images from the frontend using jomsocial phogallery. I changed the file permission on avatar from 755 to 747 i realise that i can upload the images with it. but leaving the permission on 747 is not ok for security purpose so i want to leave my permission on 755 but it is not allowing upload. does anyone know what i can do.
