Live streaming through my site

Hi all,

I am new to live video streaming. If I have a company taping and hosting the stream, what do I need to deliver the stream through my Joomla site? Is there anything I need to know?

Presumably, the streaming provider gives you a url to access the stream.
Without knowing what format they are providing, it's hard to be precise, but the method should remain the same.
For example if you are wanting to stream flash videos then add the code to the new content page as normal :

<embed src="http://www.your_provider.com/your_stream.swf" width="320" height="240">
</embed>
</object>

Maybe I'm missing your real question though, as I'm sure you've already thought of that !

Actually this is really helpful ... I didn't know if there was more to it. If they are hosting it somewhere else I guess an embed link really would be the only thing needed. thx.

i have the same problem,
i wanna put a live stream video on my website joomla 1.5 and i dont understand how to integrate it

if possible i wanna use "Xplit Broadcaster" on "www.live stream.com" or "www.own3d.tv"
